I have been a member since March 2010, I tried to apply for the conference but unfortunately was not shortlisted, tried to enquire about mentorship but did not win, and even went as far as travelling to CT for the networking function - at my own cost just to see what SAWomeng is about, I have to say that I like what I saw.

My aim in joining SAWomeng was to participate in the grooming of the young female engineers in our society and to share my knowledge and understanding f engineering with my fellow women engineer or future women engineers.

In the time I was in University, I was been involved outreach programmes (Student Dynamics organisation) where I use to share information and motivate high school students about the field of engineering.

I recently graduated (Monday - BSc Civil engineering UKZN) n m still in process of registering my Msc. Environmental Engineering therefore I won't be able to apply for the conference, I was unable to apply for mentorship * though, I am volunteering for the Girleng team this weekend* but I somehow feel I'm an inactive member of SAWomeng and that I need to do more.

I would like to know what opportunities do we , as graduates of engineers have in becoming actively involved with SAWomeng and making a difference in the lives of the young ladies who wish pursue a career in engineering .

I would also like to know if we will be having a networking function this year.
